What is an explosion-proof camera?
An explosion-proof (Ex) camera has a certified housing that stops any spark inside it from igniting gas or dust outside. It is required for CCTV in hazardous areas such as drilling rigs, refineries, gas plants and tank farms.
Which hazardous zones are your cameras certified for?
Our explosion-proof cameras carry ATEX and IECEx certification for Zone 1 and Zone 2 gas areas, and selected models for dust zones. The exact rating is on each model’s certificate, which we supply with every order.
Should I choose a fixed, PTZ or dome Ex camera?
Fixed cameras watch one area, such as a wellhead or pump. PTZ cameras pan, tilt and zoom to cover a whole rig or plant from one point. Dome and 360° panoramic cameras suit enclosed spaces and walkways. We advise on the right mix during the site survey.
Can you help with the Saudi CCTV Certificate of Compliance?
Yes. We prepare and submit CCTV Certificate of Compliance applications on the Saudi security camera services portal for systems we install.
